This review will be on my favorite face wash, i.e. the Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash. Lets get into the review.
Claims: Made from the natural extract of Orange Peel, Neem, Tulsi and Aloe Vera which cleanse gently, nourish and revitalize the skin tissues, to make complexion fresh, smooth & beautiful.
Price: Rs. 60 for 60 grams.
Shelf Life: 24 Months
My experience with Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash:
Packaging: The face wash comes in an inverted white tube, which contains all the relevant information like claims, ingredients, usage, etc. I find the packaging handy and fuss free. The tube is definitely travel friendly.
Fragrance: The face wash has a mild powdery smell with citrus hints. It does not linger for a long time and hence, would not bother sensitive noses.
Texture: The texture of this face wash is creamy and it is white in color.
Performance: Firstly, this is made in India and it makes me so happy and proud. 🙂
The face wash lathers very well and only a little quantity is required for a single use. It immediately gives a refreshed feeling. This product makes the face squeaky clean and gets rid of all the dirt and oiliness. There is a glow on the face post washing which is obviously temporary. It helps to even out the skin a bit. It has never broken me out. Since it lathers very well, a little goes a long way.
Moreover, it also helps to get rid of makeup to a great extent. However, do not expect this to remove your waterproof mascara, because at the end its a face wash and not a makeup remover. If you are wearing heavy makeup, then first remove it with a makeup remover and then wash your face with this face wash. In that case, this will help in removing the last traces of your makeup; if any.
This face wash is suitable for normal to oily skin. It will not suit dry skinned girls at all. Even for my combination skin, it makes my face crave for moisture during winter months. But it works very well during the hot summer months making me feel fresh in the scorching heat.
The ingredient list seems okay as there are no parabens but it does contain some amount of chemicals as mentioned on the tube and is evident from its excessive lathering.
One more thing that I would like to mention is that once I used this face wash as a body wash just for fun and I must mention I was amazed by the results. It made my skin super soft and supple that I did not need any body lotion after that. I had never felt my skin so soft. I guess this face wash can also be used as a body wash specially in winters and it would not feel uncomfortable as it lathers very well. However, this is just my personal experience and nothing like this is mentioned on the tube. It might not suit everyone to use it as a body wash so do a patch test before using it on body.
